End Puppy Mills. Ban Backyard Breeders. Why We Made These Tees.

End Puppy Mills. Ban Backyard Breeders. Why We Made These Tees.

At Ramblin’ Dog Co., we’re about living with purpose. And this month’s graphic tee drop is here to say what needs to be said — End Puppy Mills and Ban Backyard Breeders.

This is a call to action.

Each shirt is printed to order at our in-house print shop and 5% of every sale goes straight to our nonprofit, Rescue Crew Foundation. That means when you wear one, you're not just speaking up for dogs. You’re helping save them.

The Truth About Puppy Mills

Puppy mills are high-volume breeding operations where dogs live in terrible conditions, often without medical care or humane treatment. Many dogs are kept in wire cages, forced to breed litter after litter, and denied the basics of what every dog deserves.

The Humane Society estimates there are over 10,000 puppy mills in the U.S. right now, producing 2.6 million puppies every year. Meanwhile, nearly one million dogs in shelters are euthanized annually.

We don’t need more dogs. We need to save the ones already waiting.

The Problem With Backyard Breeders

Backyard breeders may look smaller or more personal, but they’re often unlicensed, uneducated, and irresponsible. Dogs are bred without proper screening, care, or socialization. The result is more dogs with health and behavior issues — and more ending up in shelters when owners can't handle it.

The ASPCA reports that 34% of people still purchase dogs from breeders, including backyard breeders. Only 23% adopt from shelters. That gap is keeping rescues overcrowded and burned out.

Why These Tees Matter

We’re using our tees to say what every rescue dog would say if they could — stop the cycle. Stop the pain. Choose adoption. Choose action.

These designs are available now in Comfort Colors unisex and boxy crop fits. Made for loud statements, long walks, and the ones still waiting for a name.
